install

Vianium apps are native and signed by us, not by the Microsoft Store (which no longer accepts new Windows Phone 8.1 apps). To install them, your phone just needs to trust our certificate once. One step, on the phone, no PC.

step 01

trust the certificate

Download and install Vianium's signing certificate. You only do this once per phone.

download certificate
file Vianium_AppSigning_2049.cer
publisher Vianium
valid until dec 31, 2049
sha-1 thumbprint 62:3A:B2:42:16:42:6F:5C:4F:BD:EE:1C:53:1B:EB:0E:39:AC:EF:B1
  1. Open this page on the Windows Phone where you will install the apps.
  2. Tap “download certificate”. Internet Explorer will ask what to do with the file.
  3. Tap the downloaded .cer file. The Windows certificate installer opens.
  4. Tap “install”. You will see the publisher “Vianium”. Confirm.
  5. When it says the certificate was installed, your phone trusts Vianium apps.

step 02coming soon

install the app

With the certificate installed, you can open each app's .appx package and it installs directly: no Store, no unlocking the phone with weird tools. Packages are coming soon.

trouble?

If the phone says the certificate is not trusted, open the .cer file again and choose install. The certificate is self-signed by Vianium; check that the SHA-1 thumbprint matches the one above before trusting it.
